WORK is under way to rearrange electricity cables close to the A19 between Selby and York, ahead of a major construction project on the road.
Utility workers are busy at the site, near Barlby, where a £1.8 million, three-lane, 70-metre roundabout will be created to make the junction of the A19 and the A63 safer.
North Yorkshire County Council originally intended to start work on the roundabout in September, but the project has faced several delays.
Work on the road is expected to start later this month, and last for up to 22 weeks.
