There was plunder aplenty in division five north, where City of York V trounced Thirsk 11-0.
Graham Cook and Lewis Inman each bagged hat-tricks, with further goals from Mark Moisley (2), Nick Carter (2) and Neil Reader with a close-range shot.
Also in division five north, there was a share-all for City of York VI, whose opener at Harrogate fourths from Andy Wilson was wiped out by a second-half leveller from the hosts.
Four games without a defeat is the worthy division six record boasted by City of York VII after shading Bradford thirds 4-3.
York started strongly and went one up when Martin Gorton calmly finished from close range.
Bradford equalised ten minutes into the second half but York responded with two goals, Simon Hall finishing after a persistent run and Harry Heyes notching a powerful open-stick strike.
Bradford hit back with a second but a perfect short corner from Pat Birch restored York’s two-goal margin. The gap was halved late on, but York held out.
Despite sharing territorial parity, City of York VIII suffered a goal-shy attack to lose 3-1 to visiting Barnsley seconds in division seven.
Barnsley just shaded the first half with a lone goal. A gift strike in the second half made the task even harder for the York ranks who later conceded a third.
Late in the game, a long corner dribble from Steve Forde sent a subsequent free hit to Danny Vaughan, whose crisp drive into the net provided some consolation.
Elsewhere in the same division, City of York IX celebrated a 2-1 conquest of Rotherham fourths, sealed by a fine brace of goals from striker Rich Robson, to overhaul an opener by the visitors after a blank first half.
