THE NSPCC in York is asking people buying new cars to consider donating their old vehicles through the not-for-profit social entreprise, Giveacar.
The charity said Giveacar, which has helped it raise £21,000 by accepting donations of cars, collects unwanted vehicles, auctions them and donates the proceeds to charity, with the money going to fund community-based centres, such as one in York, which will enable the NSPCC to reach more children and families in need.
