A 91-year-old woman who went missing from her home near York has been found safe and well.
Anna Stewart, who suffers from dementia, was reported missing from her home in Mill Lane, Seaton Ross, on Tuesday morning, and was last seen walking to get a bus at about 6.30am.
Officers were concerned for Mrs Stewart’s safety and carried out searches across the East Riding, North Yorkshire and Cleveland to find her.
A Humberside Police spokesman said Mrs Stewart was found on Tuesday evening, safe and well in Skelton, Teesside, close to where she lived for more than 60 years, before moving to Seaton Ross last year.
The spokesman also thanked the public for their assistance in helping to locate Mrs Stewart.
