A COMMUNITY group near Selby has been awarded £6,000 of Lottery funding to teach the public about the history of farming in the region.
Riccall and District Community Archive Group is one of the first groups in the country to receive a Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), All Our Stories grant, for its project From People And Horses To Computers And Robots.
Through the project, the group tells the story of the development of farming in the district throughout the 20th century, using more than 700 photographs, local maps and documents and recordings of local memories, all available to the public.
