PUPILS from a North Yorkshire private school have arranged a “Secret Valentine’s” initiative to help raise funds for a school trip to Canada.
The idea of 15-year-old pupil Freddie Dale, boys and girls from the Upper School of Cundall Manor School, near Thirsk, can send each other a red rose either with a message or anonymously, which will see dozens of roses being distributed around the school today, on Valentine’s Day.
The trip to Canada will be taking place in June, and more than 20 Cundall pupils will be canoeing and camping for 16 days in an area of wilderness the size of Yorkshire.
