A YORK opticians is pledging to raise vital funds for St Leonard’s Hospice this year.
The team at Acomb Specsavers is choosing to back the city hospice to show its support for the charity’s continued hard work to care for local people with life-threatening illnesses.
The Specsavers team is aiming to raise as much cash as possible throughout 2013 with a range of fundraising events including bake sales and dress-down days.
Janet Morley, director of fundraising at St Leonard’s, said: “The hospice relies so much on support from the local community and we are very pleased that Specsavers in Acomb has chosen us as its charity for this year. We look forward very much to working with the team.”
