AN exhibition to celebrate a royal gateway to York will run for two more weeks.
The exhibition – launched last year to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubillee – looks at the ceremonial role played by Micklegate Bar in welcoming ruling monarchs and other members of the royal family to the city over the centuries.
Visitors can see archive video footage, hear dramatised accounts and explore some of the extraordinary tales of pomp and pageantry witnessed at the Bar over the years.
The exhibition at the Micklegate Bar Museum runs until the end of the month.
It opens from 11am, with the last admission at 3pm.
