WANNABE witches, budding smugglers and aspirational Vikings will be queueing up in York tomorrow in search of a new job at one of the city’s tourist attractions.
York Dungeon will reopen at Easter after being wrecked by floods last September and the attraction is looking for local actors to star – including one to play the role of Richard III, above.
Auditions will be held this weekend. The refurbishment of the Clifford Street site has cost £2 million and it will reopen on March 29.
Tomorrow’s auditions will be held at the Hilton Hotel in the city centre between 1pm and 6pm. Hopefuls should prepare a five-minute ghost story and a two-minute funny story about themselves, and must be available for recalls on February 20 and 21.
