EASINGWOLD teenager Charles Capps has been chosen to attend an England under-16s rugby union training camp.
The 15-year-old prop, a pupil at Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate, already plays for the North of England U16s squad and will join 70 players and 18 national staff at the two-day session in Gloucester.
Rob Rawlinson, head of rugby at Queen Ethelburga’s and a former Leeds Carnegie hooker, said the achievement was richly deserved.
“Charlie has trained hard and is very committed to his rugby,” said Rawlinson.
“He is a credit to our school and a great player to boot. It is such an honour to be selected to play with the England squad and we wish him all the best.”
