A YORKSHIRE fundraiser is preparing to pedal across the county to York on a bicycle built for seven to support three charities.
Geoff Major, 51, from Sheffield, will start his UK Mini Tour in April, along with 42 others, on a 350-mile road trip to raise money for Heart Research UK, the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and cycling charity Disability Action Yorkshire.
The cyclists will cover an average of 50 miles a day, and part of their expedition will take them from Sheffield to York on May 2. York-based bike shop Get Cycling is providing the £8,000 seven-seater cycle, known as the Conference Bike.
