Victoria Campbell, author of the acclaimed children’s novel Viking Gold, led a creative-writing workshop for aspiring authors from Bootham School.
School librarian Steven Oakden said: “It was a great chance for our budding authors to get some practical advice from a published writer.” Victoria told the students about her writing, research tips and, of course, Vikings.
The pupils also got to look at Viking chain mail, parchments, a sword, axe and a helmet.
