A VIKING invasion will lead to city-centre roads in York being closed next weekend.
The Jorvik Viking Festival will include Norse warriors marching from York Minster to Coppergate on Saturday, February 23, and taking part in a battle re-enactment at the Eye of York.
The events mean Minster Yard, St Helen’s Square, St Sampson’s Square, Coppergate, Tower Street, Stonegate, Davygate, Parliament Street and Castlegate will be closed to traffic that day.
