A 22-YEAR-OLD man has been seriously injured after being knocked down by a car while crossing the road in York.
The collision happened outside the Black Bull pub in Hull Road at about 9.45pm on Friday.
The man was taken by ambulance to York Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries to his neck and legs and has since been transferred to Hull Royal Infirmary for specialist treatment where his condition is serious but stable, police said.
The car involved, a red Ford Mondeo, was travelling towards York when the collision happened The 54-year-old male York, was uninjured but left shaken by the incident.
