York’s Fulford Golf Club has a challenge for golfers at its annual Hospice Golf Tournament in aid of St Leonard’s Hospice – to get a hole in one and win a car.
Turnbulls Mazda York, based in Layerthorpe, is sponsoring the club’s par-three third hole in this year’s competition, and has promised any golfer who gets the ball in the hole on their first shot will become the owner of a new car.
The tournament will take place on Friday, May 24.
In addition to the hole-in-one prize, there will also be awards for the best team and individual scores, and for the player “nearest the pin”.
