A MAN now living in New Zealand has organised a reunion for residents of a former orphanage in North Yorkshire.
St George’s House, Northern Police Orphanage, in Harrogate, closed in 1956.
Peter Taylor runs a website which keeps records of the children who lived there from his home in Wellington, where he has lived since 1947.
Mr Taylor is appealing to any former residents he has lost contact with to attend the reunion in Harrogate in April.
The reunion will take place at the Majestic Hotel, in Ripon Road, from April 19 to April 21.
