I WROTE to The Press last year when Fordlands Care Home was closed down.
We were told by the council at the time that it intended to build a new care home.
I suggested it might be a devious move by the council to sell it off for building or for an entrance to the Germany Beck development, which the council denied.
This building was empty for a short time, but it has been inhabited for some time. By who we do not know.
Now, we learn that due to a concern over the flooding (which only affects the A19 and not the care home) it is likely to be sold by the council for building.
Does the council think we have short memories?
