CHARITIES in North Yorkshire are advised that a major charitable funding source is to close.
The J Paul Getty Jnr Charitable Trust, which has given grants of nearly £70 million over 26 years, is to be wound down, its trustees have said.
Harrogate and Ripon Councils for Voluntary Service have sent a notice to all their members advising them of the closure, which they said would be a blow to the charitable sector.
