IT IS the time of year when ‘to let’ signs appear in residential areas around the University of York. I know students are moving on and the landlords need new tenants but why, once a new agreement has been made, must ‘let agreed’ signs go up and blight the streets even longer than necessary?
The landlord has his money for the next year and that should be the end of it, apart from them telling the new tenants to keep waste bins out of sight until collection day and landlords to hire gardeners to keep front and back gardens tidy, as there are still privately owned homes in these areas.
