COUNCIL bosses have said they will step in to ensure a North Yorkshire village continues to have a bus service after operator Harrogate and District Travel said it would withdraw its service to and from Follifoot from March 10.
North Yorkshire County Council has said it will fund a replacement, but Coun Chris Metcalfe, its executive member responsible for public transport, said funding reductions meant the only way the council could retain the service was by cutting support for other areas.
