A Selby school has won praise in a survey of parents.
The survey is issued each year to get feedback from parents on how they feel the school is performing.
Of parents who responded, 93 per cent felt the quality of teaching was good and 94 per cent said they their children’s learning was progressing well – up from 85 per cent last year.
The figures for safety perception and information provision also rose.
Head teacher Mike Roper said: “Over the past two years it has been great to see our GCSE results increase by 16 per cent. This is three times the national average and the fifth most improved school in North Yorkshire, and we were thrilled that Ofsted in September 2012 recognised that we provide a ‘good’ all-round education for our young people, but these results from our parents please me the most.
“These results came from our parents, who every day trust Brayton High School to provide the best education experience for their children.
“I am thrilled that such a significant proportion of our parents have responded that we are doing a great job in all aspects.
“There are clearly some areas for improvement and we will tackle these with gusto as we continue our drive to be outstanding.”
