PARKING charges in East Yorkshire are to rise by 10p an hour at the end of March.
The increase means parking all day in on-street and off-street facilities run by East Riding of Yorkshire Council will cost £5.40, but the authority – which froze fees last year – said this “compares favourably” with neighbouring areas.
Residents and special group permits will rise by between £1 and £5 a year after being pegged for the last ten years, and scratch cards for visitors and hotel guests will be increased by £5 per book.
Annual standard permits will rise by £25 in each of the next two years and coach-parking charges will increase by between 50p and £1 an hour.
