THE mother of a three-year-old fundraiser is looking for people to donate recipes for a charity book in support of York Teaching Hospital Charity.
Helen Mackintosh, whose son Daniel Mackintosh wears hearing aids and regularly visits the hospital, has already raised more tan £900 for the hospital by dressing in every colour of the rainbow for a week.
Helen hopes the recipe book, which is supported by Michael Hjort, from Melton’s and Melton’s Too in York, will provide more sustainable funds for the departments which assist children with hearing loss such as Audiology and Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) to benefit those children with hearing loss.
She said: “We are so grateful for the care Daniel receives at York Hospital. Their Audiology services make a huge difference to lots of children in the area.
“Daniel is doing so well and he’s such a happy boy that I thought it was time to give something back. This is such a simple way for people to get involved and I would love to hear from anyone who would like to give us a recipe for the charity recipe book.”
If you have a local recipe you would like to share, email it to hmackintosh.32@gmail.com or phone Helen on 07813 815567 before Friday, March 15.
