THE link road to Heworth Green from James Street has been shelved for over three years because of problems with builders pulling out of projects due to the recession.
The residents of Heworth have been struggling with the extra traffic down East Parade and Heworth Road past a junior school since James Street was opened to Lawrence Street.
Casting my mind back to articles in The Press many months ago it was stated the link would cost around £300,000. At the same time a spokesman from the council stated it would save £650,000 per year when completed. No brainer – do it.
