CRAZY hairstyles are the latest way to raise money for a good cause as Diabetes UK encourages people to get involved in its annual Mad March Hair Day.
Schools throughout North and East Yorkshire are invited to take part and allow pupils to turn up to class in wacky wigs or with outrageous hairstyles.
Julie Wood, Diabetes UK’s Northern and Yorkshire fundraising manager, said: “Mad March Hair Day is a fantastic way for schools and colleges in the region to raise money for Diabetes UK, so that we can continue our work caring for people with diabetes, connecting them to the vital services they need and campaigning on their behalf.
“It’s such a simple idea and has the added benefit of teaching our children and young people about this crucial health issue. We would love to hear from schools and colleges who would like to get involved.”
