I ACCEPTED the new European Economic Community (EEC) to make trading easier, but the organisation has turned into a political straight-jacket nightmare and I have terrible feelings that Europe is going to collapse with appalling economic and social consequences.
When the 2011 census was released showing a three million increase in population over ten years, I was quite shocked as in 37 years between 1960 and 1997 the population only rose by six million.
The Labour government must have just let anyone walk in.
The UK is having to open its borders to people from Romanian and Bulgarian from next January, on the orders of the European Union’s non-elected bureaucrats – and they wonder why many of us here are so angry that our sovereignty and rule of law is being over-ridden by this political gravy train and it’s a miracle we still have our own currency.
As Brussels dictates everything, why do we need 650 MPs in London?
I want to trade with Europe, but I want rid of all the nonsense. We should have the referendum now to decide on our relationship with Europe – not in four years time when it’s all too late.
