A TEAM of 100 young dancers raised £1,000 for York St Leonard’s Hospice by performing The Wizard Of Oz in a variety of styles.
The youngsters, aged between five and 18, were all from the Acomb-based Patricia Veale School, directed by Kelly Clarey, and danced at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre earlier this month.
Sarah Atkinson, community fundraiser at the hospice, said: “We are delighted that the production was such a success, and very grateful indeed for the great contribution that Kelly and her dancers have made to the work of the hospice.”
