I READ The Press most nights and over the past several weeks there appear to have been a large rise in adverts, many of which take up a full page.

This is great to see – not only is The Press securing its future, but let’s hope with all these businesses, shops and services advertising, it brings in revenue to these advertisers.

As all will agree, it is sad to see so many empty shops in and around the city as well as outside, but these businesses are trying to make a profit for themselves and in most cases their employees.

I wish them all success for the future, including The Press, and let’s hope we start to see fewer businesses and shops closing down, but it’s only time that will tell.
