FIREFIGHTERS have tonight tackled a blaze on a houseboat moored on the River Ouse near York.
A spokesnan for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said the fire was believed to have been caused by radiated heat from an incorrectly fitted flue on a log burner.
He said 20 per cent of the boat, which was moored in Ferry Lane, |Bishopthorpe, suffered fire damage but no one was injured.
