I HAVE been following the campaign to have Richard III interred in York with great interest.

Self-evidently, Richard III should be buried in his own city. However, to avoid the abrupt change of scene a move to York’s glorious Minster would entail, may I suggest that a city-centre car park would prove a more appropriate resting place?

I am sure Priory Street Centre would be happy to offer the revered monarchical bones a home in its car park, which is accessible and ideally placed, close to the railway station.
