A MAGICIAN from York is hoping to conjure up plenty of cash for Comic Relief when he performs a 24-hour magic marathon.
Starting at midnight on March 14, Tom Crosbie, intends to put on a show at 52 venues in the city centre, wowing crowds at pubs, bars and restaurants with his tricks.
Tom, 21, from Heworth, who is a full-time professional magician, said: “I want to do at least three tricks for each group of people in any venue.
“If it’s in a restaurant or bar I will do every table.”
He said he got the idea of a magic marathon from a musician friend in London who wrote and recorded an album of comedy songs in 24 hours.
“I thought I fancied doing something for Comic Relief, but it had to be magic because that’s what I do.”
Tom is now looking for venues to host his act from midnight on March 14.
