STUDENTS at York College are preparing to take audiences on a trip through four musical eras.
Live bands featuring students on the college’s Extended Diploma in Music course will perform tunes from the 1960s, 70s, 80s and 90s at the Sim Balk Lane site’s Alan Ayckbourn Theatre next month.
The Decades show will feature rock and pop classic from the times.
York College music tutor Ben Westward said: “The show promises to be a feast of songs from a wide range of styles.
“During rehearsals, the students realised they actually knew many of the songs already, proving they are all classics.”
Decades will be performed on March 27 and 28 - with fancy dress for the show being provided by Fantasy World, in Fulford - and tickets are due to go on sale.
They cost £5, with concessions available at £4, and are available by phoning the college’s finance office on 01904 770495.
