PARENTS in East Yorkshire will find out today if their child has got into their chosen secondary school.
Nearly all parents in East Yorkshire got places for their children at their preferred school.
Of the 3,058 applications received, 3,001 or 98.5 per cent, got places at their first choice school and 3,048 or 99.7 per cent, got places at one of their three choices of school.
Only ten children have had to be given places at schools for which their parents did not express a preference. In all ten cases, the child has been given a place at their catchment area school.
Coun Julie Abraham, East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s portfolio holder for children and young people said: “This admissions round has again been a big success with so many parents getting places for their children at the schools they want.”
