A SEVEN-GOAL second-half blitz saw Dunnington topple Brooklyn in the City of York Girls’ Football League under- 13s championship.
The hosts hit top form to beat their Ryedale visitors 8-0 with captain Amy Exelby hitting five goals and Kyra Jones claiming a hat-trick.
Dunnington dominated the first half but could only convert one of their many chances, Exelby finding the back of the net with a finely struck shot.
Brilliant midfield runs by girl of the game Daisy Andrews helped Dunnington turn that pressure into goals after half-time.
Leona Frary and Poppy Clancey also played key roles in the second-half goal haul.
