The York branch of the Myasthenia Gravis Charity was staging a second fundraising day at York Hospital today.
The group was raising funds and awareness as part of Rare Diseases Day, which was held earlier this week.
The charity staged its first fundraising day on Thursday, when committee members were joined by the Lord Mayor and Mayoress of York, Coun Keith Hyman and his wife, Karen.
The group was selling books, toys, crafts and novelties as part of its effort to fund a specialist neurological nurse and research into the debilitating condition.
