IT Sports Wigginton were thrashed 5-0 by a Queens Halifax side who are chasing the Yorkshire Squash League premier division title.
The Halifax ranks boasted no fewer than five professionals and got off to a flier as IT Sports team manager Ian Tooms was beaten 3-0 by Manchester pro Matt Sideway.
Recently-crowned York champion Jon Duffield played out of his skin when taking a game off David Campion, before going down 3-1.
Simon Myring was then beaten 3-0 by Ollie Holland.
The ever improving Josh Harris, playing at number two, played brilliantly against world number 162 James Earles. Every game was very close but he was edged out 3-0.
Returning to the Wigginton team was Pete Bilson who was also beaten 3-0 by world number 79 Eddie Charlton.
Said Tooms: “It was the strongest line up I have ever had to deal with at this level.”
Wigginton, who are already safe from the drop, have two matches remaining.
