Brides-to-be and their families turned out in force at York Racecourse for the crowd-pulling Yorkshire Living Brides event.
Hundreds braved Arctic conditions to travel to York and find out how they could make their wedding an experience of a lifetime.
Two catwalk shows featuring the latest in wedding fashion, organised by Thames Fashion, were packed out and stallholders took bookings for everything to make that perfect wedding, including cars and the chocolate fountains of Krystal’s Chocolicious of York.
Event organiser Alison Spavin said: “It was a great day. We have wonderful stallholders and I think everyone got something out of it.
“One of the great things about Living Brides is that it is free with free parking.
“Brides feel able to bring the whole family with them.”
Bridegrooms were also catered for with men’s outfits sharing the catwalk with bridal masterpieces, creations to delight bridesmaids and just the right trousseaus for the mother and mother-in-law of the bride.
