Edwina Moses and Adam Brady were married at Crab Manor at Asenby, near Thirsk, on September 5, 2012.
Photographer
Dominic Wright Photography. We looked at many photographers and Dominic and Zoe just stood out. Such lovely guys we had so much fun with them. They made us feel very special and our images are just stunning. We would highly recommend them.
Where did you meet?
We met at work. We both work in a health club and I am a beauty therapist and Adam is a hairdresser. He came to work there about a year after I started there and we just had so much in common. We both now run the salon, Boab Hair and Beauty based inside Roko Gym, York.
Where did he propose?
Adam took me to La Carla, in Spain, in February 2011 for a surprise Valentine’s weekend. I didn’t have a clue.
The dress
It was a Justin Alexandra oyster pearl lace dress which came up to the neck and was fitted into the waist. An oyster pearl satin band around the waist went into a fishtail.
The groom
Adam wore a midnight-blue three-piece suit by King & Allen with a cream tie with midnight-blue polkadots.
The bridesmaids
Midnight blue A-line knee length dresses with lace detail at the neck line from Coast.
Flowers
My bouquet was cream roses and pearls with an oyster pearl binding round the stems. The bridesmaids carried cream roses and we had a mixture of roses and lilies for the table centrepieces.
Table decor and favours
We had a Top Gun themed table plan and on the tables were photos of each pilot.
Entertainment
We had a harpist for the ceremony. A flamenco guitarist entertained the guests while we were having some photos taken. In the evening we had a jazz band and at the end of the night we had Rick Witter, from Shed Seven, doing us a DJ mix. It was great to have live music.
Honeymoon
Our honeymoon was bought for us as a surprise gift from Adam’s parents. They sent us to Phuket, in Thailand, and we stayed at the Katta Thani Hotel. It was right on the beach and was just such a stunning place.
