Where did you meet?
At work at Great Rail Journeys. We knew each other at work for more than five years, then Rich finally asked for a first date the day before I was due to leave the country and live in the Caribbean for three years. He proposed five months after our first date and we were married 18 months later.
What attracted you to him?
His kind and gentle nature, his sense of humour, his love for travelling, his love for his family and his 6ft 3in body build.
Where did he propose?
On Woodlands beach in Montserrat, in the Caribbean, where I am currently running a conservation project for frogs. He proposed at midnight on the eve of St Patrick’s day which is celebrated as a national holiday in Montserrat.
