HOBBYCRAFT York is going to infinity and beyond today for Children’s Hospice Week.
From 10am the store is hosting Superhero Saturday, in which all members of staff will dress up as their favourite heroes and spend the day creating masks, capes and cakes for customers.
Customers will be encouraged to get involved by creating their own superhero masks.
All the money raised today will go to Martin House Children’s Hospice at Boston Spa.
Hobbycraft York manager Ian Mirfin said: “You don’t need to be Superman to understand that Children’s Hospice Week is an excellent cause.
“We want our customers to let their imaginations run as wild as The Hulk, and create some marvellous masks and decorations to help us raise as much money as possible for Martin House Children’s Hospice.”
Brenda Peel, corporate fundraiser for Martin House, said: “We are delighted that Hobbycraft is supporting Children’s Hospice Week with the superhero mask craft hampers.
“Art therapy gives children and young people the chance to express their feelings through creativity, as well as having fun at the same time.”
