A VILLAGE scarecrow festival is opening its doors to “outsiders”.
Entries are now being sought for the 2013 Wetwang Scarecrow Festival, which runs from May 25 until June 2.
Organisers are looking for entrants from outside the village to add to the collection of scarecrows created by villagers.
Entry forms can be downloaded from wetwang.org.uk They are also available from the village hall on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
One of the two categories is “nursery rhymes”, with the other allowing entrants to design any scarecrow they like, and cash prizes will be on offer for the winners following a public vote. There will also be a tombola, grand draw, craft fair and a treasure hunt.
