A UNIQUE digital conference is to be held tomorrow to highlight poverty and inequality in York and the surrounding region.
Local media outlets, experts and charities have joined forces to host the open discussion on Twitter about the problems and possible solutions.
Topics will include housing, the Living Wage, destitution, and benefits, and there will be discussion on how local and national policy can help those most in need.
Researchers from the York-based Joseph Rowntree Foundation will be on hand to provide expert analysis and input, and City of York Council, local politicians and anti-poverty charities will also be contributing.
To join the discussion, use and follow the hashtag #povertyforum.
