I WOULD like to know why in this day and age of technology when I send my local MP an email, I receive a reply by letter in the mail.
A typed letter response didn’t make me feel special. My thought was that it was on coloured paper and envelope (which costs more than white) and also that it was posted, so incurred postage costs. An email would have been sufficient and ‘free’.
The Government is hitting hard those who are working, as opposed to those who are not, yet cannot come up with their own cost-saving ideas.
I have plenty. Reply by email. Take a pack-up for lunch, rather than claim your lunch on expenses, plus the other expenses you claim. Stop having meetings in places you need to rent a room for. Have it in the office, etc.
