A MAN is in intensive care after being attacked by men with weapons in Harrogate.
He was attacked in St Andrew’s Crescent by three men who hit him with what police believe to be wooden implements before running off, leaving the victim seriously injured.
The man, who is in his forties and from Harrogate, sustained serious abdominal and facial injuries and was admitted to the intensive care unit at Harrogate District Hospital. His current condition is described as stable.
The attack happened at about 4pm last Thursday, police said.
Detective Sergeant Fionna McEwan, of Harrogate CID, said: “This was a nasty and vicious assault which has left the victim with serious injuries. It’s vital that anyone who was on St Andrew’s Crescent at the time, gets in touch with the police.”
