THE impact of alcohol on crime and antisocial behaviour in York will be the focus of the second Crime Summit in York tomorrow.
Experts in A&E medicine, domestic violence, antisocial behaviour and York’s night-time economy, together with council officials, crime agencies and members of residents’ associations, will discuss the effects of binge-drinking, drinking in public and alcohol abuse on crime and antisocial behaviour.
More than 70 people are expected to attend the half-day event at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall, off Aldwark.
Also tomorrow, a council-co-ordinated community safety market will run in St Sampson’s Square from 11am to 3pm.
