AN INTERNATIONAL team of scientists including a physicist from the University of York have found a new way to transfer information on an atomic level.
The team, which includes Dr Irene D’Amico from the university, have been carrying out research and theoretical work on spin-electronics, which would use the charge and spin of electrons to transfer and process signals and information at a quantum level.
Dr D’Amico said it was hoped the work would improve understanding of the transfers, and would go towards helping move information at the quantum scale in a reliable fashion.
