YORK St John University is in the top ten of a survey to find the university with the best student experience.
The institution was ninth in a new poll by the Times Higher Education (THE) magazine.
The University of East Anglia rose from sixth place last year to first this year, knocking last year’s winner, Dundee University, off the top spot. Dundee came in eighth place this year.
The THE Student Experience Survey asked more than 12,000 full-time undergraduates to rate their university in 21 categories, including quality of staff, lectures, social life and accommodation.
This year’s overall top ten were East Anglia, Oxford, Sheffield and Cambridge in joint third place, Loughborough, Bath, Leeds, Dundee, York St John and Lancaster.
It is the first time that Bath, York St John and Lancaster have made it into the top ten.
