YORK-BORN golf ace Simon Dyson was facing a 22-hole day to break free of his European Tour gloom.
Play was suspended because of darkness on the first day of the Ballantine’s Championship in South Korea with Dyson still four holes from completing his opening round at the Blackstone Golf Club course in Incheon, just outside the capital of Seoul.
The world number 120 would have to complete 22 holes today in the bid to shatter a run of missing four consecutive tournament cuts.
The 35-year-old is in good shape after a hussar of par run with 14 consecutive break-even scores to leave him on level par, five shots adrift of the suspended first round lead held by a quintet of players including England’s Matthew Baldwin.
