IN RESPONSE to an internet comment by a person under the name Tory Working Class to a campaign against poverty article (The Press, April 22), such views mirror the hopelessness of our outdated political system.
There is no choice, which gives millions of lower class who have worked their way up to being the overwhelming majority of informed, proud, sensible and caring people a voice or a party in Parliament.
They just have to listen to the pointless war between the existing parties fighting for their votes, at the two extremes of society, who enjoy their places in Parliament on the back of this lack of power and representation for this important, majority, centre group.
We desperately need a new system which this potentially powerful and progressive group could involve themselves in, and feel they belong to, then you would see some real progress, unity and pride back in Great Britain.
