POCKLINGTON Predators Under-15s kept up their York Minor League division one challenge with a 2-0 victory at title rivals Poppleton Tigers.

The win means Pock lead the table by three points from Poppleton, who have a game in hand and better goal difference.

The visitors took the lead on 20 minutes thanks to Danny Shaw’s 20-yard effort.

Goalkeeper Sam Flinton saved a Tigers’ shot and then Pock doubled their lead through George Pilkington’s 12-yard drive.

Flinton pulled off a good save at his near post with five minutes to go.
